Gas Safe Registered engineers can scope commercial gas testing, tightness testing, purging and decommissioning across the county's coastal, market-town and rural sites.
Learn more about Commercial gas servicesGas, heating and building-services support for commercial and domestic buildings across West Sussex, delivered from our Farnham base.
ComGas Services UK Ltd supports organisations across West Sussex with commercial gas, heating, boilers, plumbing, pipework, mechanical and electrical building services. We also support HVAC, air conditioning, BMS and planned preventative maintenance where a coordinated approach is useful. Our Farnham base provides a practical point from which to support the county; we do not present this coverage as a permanent West Sussex office or as evidence of completed work in every town.
West Sussex combines coastal settlements, market towns, major employment areas and rural communities. That variety affects how work is planned: a plant-room intervention at an industrial or logistics site may need a different access, isolation and delivery plan from maintenance in a town-centre office, school or care setting. We agree the scope, site rules, access windows and certification requirements before work proceeds, with emergency support subject to engineer availability and site requirements.
West Sussex County Council describes its West Sussex Transport Plan as the main transport policy and sets out a strategy for future highways and transport infrastructure investment from 2022 to 2036. For estates and facilities teams, that makes early coordination sensible where works involve deliveries, temporary plant, road-facing compounds, town-centre access or contractor parking. The county also includes strategic corridors linking coastal and inland communities, so a site survey remains more useful than assuming a standard logistics plan.
Local planning is split between district and borough councils, while the county has a specific role for minerals and waste planning. The Joint Minerals Local Plan provides guidance on safeguarding mineral resources and infrastructure associated with minerals supply and waste. This matters to developers, industrial occupiers and facilities teams working near active or safeguarded sites: proposed plant, service yards and temporary works should be checked against the relevant planning and environmental constraints rather than treated as purely internal building work.
ComGas can help scope gas safety, boiler and plant-room works, water heaters, commercial kitchens, HVAC and maintenance planning for sites in Crawley, Horsham, East Grinstead, Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill and elsewhere in the county. Coverage is subject to the job brief, site requirements, engineer competence and availability.
Choose the discipline that best matches the requirement, or ask us to coordinate a broader survey where several systems interact.

Learn more about PPM and maintenance planningA clear brief helps us understand the building, the statutory context and the practical constraints before recommending work.
Check the district or borough local plan, conservation-area controls and any relevant planning conditions before altering plant, flues, roof equipment, external condensers or service yards.
Town centres, employment estates, schools and rural sites can have different restrictions. Provide site rules, delivery arrangements, parking information and any traffic-management requirements at enquiry stage.
Identify critical heating, hot-water, ventilation, kitchen and production loads. We can discuss phased shutdowns, temporary heating or out-of-hours access without promising a fixed response or completion time.
For gas, water, electrical and refrigerant systems, share previous records and asset lists where available. Testing, commissioning and certification should match the equipment and the engineer’s competence.
County minerals and waste policies, flood risk, protected landscapes and local ecology can affect external plant and construction logistics. Confirm the site constraints with the project team and planning authority.

Contact ComGasOur office is in Farnham, Surrey. We support West Sussex from that base; this does not represent a permanent local office in every area.
We offer emergency support, subject to engineer availability and site requirements. Share the site details, immediate risk and access arrangements so the requirement can be assessed.
Yes. We can discuss one-off gas, heating, plumbing, mechanical, electrical or HVAC works alongside planned maintenance and service arrangements, with scope and terms agreed for the site.
We support education, care and healthcare environments where the brief and site requirements are suitable. Access, safeguarding, continuity and certification needs should be provided at enquiry stage.
We can assess temporary boiler or heating options for planned outages, refurbishment and resilience. Equipment, duration, fuel, connection points, siting and availability must be confirmed before any proposal.
