Building services work is regulated by competence. Gas work needs Gas Safe registration in the right categories, oil-fired equipment needs OFTEC qualification, refrigerant work needs F-gas certification and electrical work must meet BS 7671.
ComGas engineers hold the registrations their work requires, across commercial and domestic gas, LPG and oil. Qualifications are recorded and kept under review, so work is allocated to engineers whose competence covers it.
Electrical installation work is carried out in accordance with BS 7671 (18th Edition), with appropriate certification and documentation provided where required.

Gas Safe registered engineers with commercial and domestic categories, including plant rooms, catering, pipework and non-domestic testing and purging. Gas competence is reassessed every five years.
OFTEC-qualified engineers for oil-fired boilers, oil storage and supply, and F-gas work carried out under REFCOM company certification.
Site management includes the Site Safety Plus Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS), for managing and supervising work in line with construction health and safety regulations.
Qualifications and expiry dates are recorded so renewals can be planned and evidence supplied for site files and pre-qualification.
