ComGas installs, services and maintains oil-fired heating for commercial premises and off-mains sites across Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire and West Sussex.

Where a building has no mains gas connection, oil-fired plant usually carries the whole heating and hot-water load, so its condition decides whether the building stays warm. Our OFTEC-registered engineers work on commercial oil boilers, pressure jet burners and the systems around them, from planned replacement through to annual servicing and reactive repair.

Commercial Oil Boiler Installation & Replacement

Oil-fired plant is normally replaced because it has reached the end of its working life or because the building’s heat load has changed. Either way the specification starts with the existing installation, not the appliance catalogue.

Our engineers install:

All installations are completed in line with OFTEC standards, Building Regulations and BS 5410 Part 1.

Commercial Oil Boiler Servicing & Maintenance

Annual servicing keeps an oil-fired appliance burning cleanly and gives early warning of the faults that otherwise become winter breakdowns.

Servicing includes:

  • Full inspection and servicing of the appliance
  • Combustion checks to ensure safe operation
  • Cleaning to reduce soot and residue build-up
  • Performance optimisation for improved efficiency

Oil Heating Safety and Compliance

An oil-fired installation has to be commissioned and maintained correctly to burn safely and efficiently, and in an occupied commercial building the consequences of getting it wrong are not confined to one household.

Our engineers work in accordance with BS 5410 Part 1, OFTEC installation standards and Building Regulations.

Detailed checks are carried out during installation and servicing to confirm safe fuel combustion, limit emissions and maintain the integrity of the system.

Oil-fired appliances should be installed and serviced by an OFTEC-registered engineer, so the work is carried out to the relevant standards and correctly documented.

How often should a commercial oil boiler be serviced?
Annually. Regular servicing maintains efficiency, limits soot build-up and confirms safe combustion.

Do you work on oil-fired plant as well as individual boilers?
Yes. Work covers commercial and light commercial oil boilers, pressure jet burners, oil-fired hot water systems and their associated components.
