As part of its ongoing maintenance partnership with Farnham Heath End School, ComGas has delivered a new digital LED screen designed to support the school’s all-weather sports facility and future investment in its upkeep.
The project reflects a practical approach to long-term maintenance: looking beyond routine service visits to identify improvements that can add lasting value for the site and the wider school community.
Developing the idea
The project began with a vision from ComGas Managing Director Lee Jones. Working with Farnham Heath End School Principal Stuart Maginnis and Premises Manager Nick Walker, the team explored how a digital screen could enhance the sports facility while also creating a potential advertising revenue stream to support its upkeep.
“We already maintain the school, but we also want to help customers think longer term. The screen was an opportunity to support the sports facility in a practical way and create something that can contribute to its future upkeep.”
Lee Jones, Managing Director, ComGas Services UK Ltd

Bringing the project together
To turn the idea into a finished installation, ComGas appointed Eclipse Digital Media as the specialist screen partner. ComGas managed the project and completed the associated electrical installation, coordinating the work from the initial concept through to completion.
The result is a prominent digital screen positioned alongside the school’s all-weather sports pitches. Its planned use includes promotional content and advertising, with the potential to generate revenue that can be reinvested in maintaining the facility.

Supporting sport and the local community
The project also reflects Lee’s commitment to grassroots sport and the local community. Lee’s children play for a local sports club and the facility is an important part of community sport in the area. Supporting a project that can help maintain and improve access to those facilities was therefore especially meaningful.
More than a maintenance contract
This work grew from ComGas’s existing Service Level Agreement and planned maintenance partnership with Farnham Heath End School. It demonstrates how a long-term contractor relationship can create space for useful ideas beyond the immediate maintenance schedule.
For schools and academies, that can mean taking a broader view of the estate, identifying practical opportunities and coordinating specialist partners where a project sits outside routine service work.
Thank you to everyone involved
ComGas would like to thank Stuart Maginnis, Nick Walker and the Farnham Heath End School team for their collaboration, along with Eclipse Digital Media for its specialist role in delivering the screen.
ComGas is proud to support Farnham Heath End School and the wider Weydon Multi Academy Trust through its ongoing maintenance partnership.
