Can ComGas inspect an existing air-conditioning system before quoting?

Yes. Where the requirement cannot be safely or accurately defined from the available information, a survey can record equipment, access, condition, controls, drainage and likely enabling work. Any quotation remains subject to the agreed scope and site findings.

Does every commercial air-conditioning system need an inspection report?

In England and Wales, government guidance says the Energy Performance of Buildings regulations affect air-conditioning systems with an effective rated output above 12 kW, including combined systems under single control. The building owner or manager should establish the applicable duty and keep the required report; ComGas can discuss the technical information needed for the work.

Can you work on F-gas equipment?

ComGas is REFCOM F-Gas Certified. We can discuss servicing, leak-related work, recovery, repair or decommissioning within the equipment, competence and project scope. Equipment records and the refrigerant type should be provided at enquiry.

What if the problem is poor comfort rather than a failed unit?

Poor comfort can arise from sizing, zoning, schedules, sensors, airflow, filters, building fabric or user settings as well as equipment failure. A survey or controls review is often more useful than replacing a single unit without checking the wider system.

Can HVAC work be carried out while a building is occupied?

Often, but the method depends on access, noise, dust, isolations, work at height, refrigerant work and the areas affected. Agree working hours, temporary measures, safeguarding, permits and communication with the site team before the programme is confirmed.

Will you provide a fixed response time for an HVAC fault?

No fixed arrival time is promised. Emergency support may be requested, subject to engineer availability and site requirements. For recurring risk, a planned maintenance or maintenance-contract discussion may provide a more structured approach.
